Here you can read about Shoporama ApS. A bit about Shoporama's history, how Shoporama came to be and the people behind it.
Back in 2011, Shoporama's two founders, Morten Blinksbjerg and Morten Vadskær, started writing together on Twitter. The reason was that Morten Vadskær was dissatisfied with the existing shop systems. At the time, he had been running his own webshop for 10 years, and in the absence of proper systems, he had created his own.
In 2011, more and more people started complaining about their shop system, so Morten Blinksbjerg wrote to Morten Vadskær "why don't you put your system up for sale?".
Morten Vadskær had to admit that there were so many patches and hacks in it that he couldn't sell it to someone who wasn't a programmer.
To which Morten Blinksbjerg replied: "Why don't we join forces and make the coolest shop system?"
And that was really the start of Shoporama.
What you probably didn't know about Shoporama
Shoporama is hand-coded - every line. It's not a standard system that's just repackaged.
The woman you hear when you call us is the same woman who recorded Netto's loudspeaker message "Employee to checkout". The voice belongs to Anja Lysholm.
Some of our fastest product pages load in 250 milliseconds. That's far, far faster than most websites.
In 2024, just before Marketingcamp was about to launch their website, they realized that their payment system wasn't working. In just a few hours, Shoporama worked with 29X Studio to create a solution so Marketingcamp could sell their tickets.
Pretty soon they realized that Morten's original system wasn't working, so they started over... Unfortunately, they lived at opposite ends of the country and had to work their jobs to keep an income. So it took a long time to develop a prototype.
But over time, they created a prototype and in 2013, the first shop went live on Shoporama.
The first year was characterized by many shortcomings and teething problems, but today Shoporama is a fully functional and well-tested system with a wealth of features.
Shoporama is not like other e-commerce systems. Sure, Shoporama is made by programmers, but it's not designed with a programmer's mindset. The business model is not designed from the CFO's mindset either. The cornerstone of Shoporama is that everything we do should help our customers run a better online store. And that actually makes a lot of sense. If our customers have a good webshop, we still have customers. If they have a bad webshop, we have customers for a limited time.
In short, we do our utmost to ensure that you get a great business out of your webshop.
Although we exist online and aim to have our business online, we also have an office. It is located at C. A. Olesens Gade 4, 3rd floor, 9000 Aalborg.
Our CVR number is 35055096 and our phone number is 71 99 28 38.
Shoporama is owned 50/50 between the two owners and employs two part-time employees.
